Kate Palethorpe has been appointed as Michael Hill’s new company secretary, effective March 18.
Palethorpe will share company secretary duties with Michael Hill’s CFO and company secretary Andrew Lowe.
It follows the resignation of former joint company secretary Emily Bird on January 5 this year after more than four years into the role.
Palethorpe began her career as a lawyer at Minter Ellison before moving to in-house executive roles, including as head of legal, risk and compliance at Aesop and as senior commercial manager at Aussie Farmers Direct. She moves into the new role from the Australian Dairy Nutritionals Group.
Palethorpe is also appointed as the person responsible for communication between Michael Hill and ASX.
