The world's largest sneaker convention, Sneaker Con, has announced that it will be hitting Sydney shores for the first time in May.
The convention, which launched in New York in 2009, has hosted over one million attendees and vendors in more than 40 cities across the globe, and will be coming to the International Convention Centre in Sydney on May 25.
In a statement, Sneaker Con said that the convention will host a range of activities for attendees to engage with.
"Sneaker Con is much more than the world’s largest live event sneaker trading platform.
"As well as offering the chance to stock-up on rare finds and the newest releases, Sneaker Con Sydney will feature a range of activities, from giveaways to the show’s famous trading pit, panel discussions, digital platform showcases and more.
"Visitors will be able to take advantage of the on-site sneaker identification ‘Legit Check’ area providing a free sneaker authentication service and educating enthusiasts on how to identify real versus fake footwear.
"Sneaker Con [will] also offer a customisation zone, where designers [will] create personalised sneakers for attendees on the spot."
The event will run from 12-7pm.
