Witchery is the latest brand to partner with fashion rental platform GlamCorner, to fulfil the growing demand for everyday essentials.

The partnership will see Witchery offer everyday pieces to GlamCorner's subscription members, as demand for workwear separates and smart everyday essentials rise as restrictions ease.

According to GlamCorner's stats, everyday essentials have seen a 200% increase year-on-year as part of the subscription box.

"The demand for everyday essentials through our rental subscription box has surged," GlamCorner COO and co-founder Audrey Khaing-Jones said.

"We have seen a huge increase in workwear separates in particular, specifically skirts, tops, suits and coats and jackets.

"Working with Witchery helps cater to the demand for more rental solutions and accelerate Aussies to a more circular fashion economy," she added.

"We’ve shared 500 tonnes of clothing to date and every new partnership takes us one step closer to our goal of tackling Australia’s mounting textile waste problem," Khaing-Jones said.

Witchery's partnership with GlamCorner will form part of the wider Country Road Group's Good Business Journey, which outlines the ways in which the business is moving to a better way of doing business.

"Witchery is delighted to be aligning with GlamCorner to provide everyday outfitting solutions and 24/7 style to their loyal customers," Witchery head of marketing Nicky Rowsell said.

"As part of our Good Business Journey, Witchery is committed to working on new and interesting ways to be more circular as a business.

"Partnering with GlamCorner to extend the life cycle of Witchery pieces via the rental market is an exciting step forward in reducing our fashion footprint and making a positive impact to the environment we live and work in.

"The past year has seen our customer’s engagement with fashion shift, and not only does GlamCorner’s innovative subscription model allow customers to access numerous styles on their terms, it also allows them to support the circular fashion economy and significantly reduce the impact of new or unused clothing in their wardrobe," she said.

2021 has seen GlamCorner ramp up its partnerships within the industry, furthering its mission to reduce the impact of clothing.

As part of this effort, GlamCorner has teamed up with other fashion businesses, including Spell, Camilla and David Jones, to launch dedicated rental platforms for their brands.
