Triumph has joined the ranks of Nike, Panasonic, Bosch and Volkswagen.

The intimate apparel company has won the 'Red Dot: Best of the Best Award' for its Magic Wire bra.

The bra replaces the usual underwire with a small piece of silicone that offers both support and comfort.

Red Dot is a global competition for product design and recognises brands that offer innovative solutions to traditional products.

Speaking about the award, Red Dot founder and president, Peter Zec, believes that Triumph have blown competitors out of the water.

Zec said that Triumph “measured themselves successfully against the best in the industry.”

He also highlighted the company's “uncompromising competency and considerable courage” regarding product design.

Around 5000 entires from 56 countries are reported to have entered to win the award.

Triumph Australia and New Zealand general manager Chris Miles said that the company is teaming with pride.

“We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the Red Dot: Best of the Best award for our Magic Wire™ Bra. Australia was first-to-market globally and the response from our customers has been overwhelmingly positive. To be recognised by the design community for making a difference to women’s lives through design innovation is truly fantastic. ”

Triumph currently operates in around 120 countries, employing around 33,000 people. It also serves around 40,000 global wholesale customers.
