Topshop Australia has imported one of the most iconic traditions of its parent company.

Topshop Topman will operate a London Double Decker Bus across Melbourne until February 24.

The fluorescent orange, red and purple stripe vehicle will offer free rides between the city's key summer destinations.

These include the Fitzroy Open Air Pool, St Kilda Beach, Federation Square and the new Topshop Topman store on Chapel Street.

Upon boarding, passengers will be issued with a ticket inspired by the Oyster card, the pass used to ride buses in London.

The first three hundred tickets issued daily could contain Topshop Topman gift cards.

The gift cards feature a scratch off panel, with prizes including one $500 and two $250 shopping credits as well as a legion of smaller prizes.

Bus timetables will be available in-store, as well as through Topshop Topman's Australian Twitter feeds.

As part of its summer promotion, Topshop Topman's Chapel Street flagship will also host live DJs every Friday and Saturday throughout the season.

Topshop launched a similar promotion in 2009/2010 for its New York store in Soho.

A branded van toured key spots such as Union Square and Washington Park offering a range of product promotions and shopping sprees.

Topshop Topman Australia is operated by streetwear company Next Athleisure.
