TikTok Australia has partnered with Shopify to allow Australian businesses to extend their commerce strategies to the app.

The partnership will give Shopify merchants access to the core functions of TikTok ads manager without leaving the Shopify dashboard.

Speaking on the partnership, Shopify APAC MD Shaun Broughton said the partnership comes as more Aussies are engaging with eCommerce.

"Australians are spending more time shopping and interacting online than ever before, and there is high competition among retailers for consumers’ attention.

"This year, we expect to see even more merchants invest in delivering seamless digital experiences for their customers by taking advantage of how commerce is evolving.

"It’s an exciting time to be partnering with TikTok to offer Australian merchants new ways to reach and connect with their customers through interactive content that can immediately and directly impact their bottom line.

"Through this partnership, local merchants will benefit from new and fun ways to engage with consumers on their preferred platforms and channels," he said.

The partnership comes as many fashion businesses, including Superdry, Camilla and Boohoo, launch TikTok campaigns with Aussie TikTok stars, generating millions of views.

TikTok ANZ GM of global business solutions Brett Armstrong welcomed the launch.

"We are delighted to be bringing our partnership to Australia, to provide local merchants a channel to reach TikTok's unique and leaned-in community.

"The partnership is one of the ways we're exploring new and innovative solutions to connect brands with users at scale," he said.
