This clothing retailer is set to slash numbers at its head office by up to 10 per cent.

Outdoor clothing retailer Kathmandu could cut up to 25 jobs in a bid to lift its fortunes.

Kathmandu reported a 53 per cent drop in annual profit with same store sales slumping by two per cent.

The cull could it hit its Australian and New Zealand offices, which employ around 250 staff.

The restructure is said to be a potential outcome of a review launched by CEO Xavier Simonet.

Simonet was appointed to the firm in July, to manage a takeover offer worth $318 million.

The outcome of the review will be revealed in September.
