International supermodel Nicole Trunfio has joined forces with emerging label Auguste.

Trunfio is set to support Auguste in raising awareness of '1% For The Planet', an organisation which asks businesses to contribute at least 1% of net revenue to sustainability-oriented causes.

Trunfio applauded Auguste as it joined the global sustainability movement.

“It’s really important for brands to give back, and I really hope this campaign inspires other Aussie labels to join 1%,” she said.

Marking the launch of the campaign, Trunfio and Auguste have created a video promoting its new Strawberry Moon collection.

Filmed at Red Rock Canyon in the Californian desert, the campaign features a soundtrack by Trunfio's partner, musician Gary Clark Jr.

Auguste head designer Ebony Eagles said she realised the success of her business could be a vehicle for change.

“It’s a necessary revolution that businesses give back.

"Just imagine if 1% of revenue of all businesses capable of donating went to helping heal our world,” she said.

Eagles has chosen to give her proceeds to the Australian Marine Conservation Society and Orang-utan Land Trust.

The Byron Bay native said Trunfio was a natural choice to help launch the campaign.

“I’ve wanted to work with Nicole for a long time," Eagles said.

“When we told her about our partnership with 1% For The Planet, she was really excited to be involved - not just about Auguste joining, but at the possibility of inspiring more Aussie labels to jump on board.

“Nicole understands the impact the industry can have on the environment. And now as a mum, she’s even more conscious of the importance of preserving the planet for future generations.”.
