Sportitude has reopened its Fullarton store, with new fit and search technology.
The newly refurbished store includes an assessment treadmill designed for beginner and intermediate runners.
The fitting tool has a large, synchronised digital screen that utilises a 3D camera as well as “force plates” to capture specific and highly detailed running movements.
GM Josh Willoughby said the data produced helps staff provide personalised shoe recommendations.
“We understand that Sportitude (formally known as Joggers World) was the first location to offer the Video Gait Analysis in South Australia. Sportitude Fullarton is the only store in the southern hemisphere using this technology.
"Utilising innovative technology to help our customers find the best fit is very important to us."
A new touch-screen with a search tool has also been introduced, assisting customers to access product selection as well as local allied health practitioners, including podiatrists and physiotherapists.
To coincide with the store’s refurbishment, Sportitude Fullarton has launched an updated School Rewards Program offering discounts to nominated schools as well as donations to sports programs.
Sportitude Fullarton has also extended an invitation to local sporting groups to use the store for meetings, workshops and other social events.
Guest speakers and catering can also be booked for the space, Sportitude retail GM Abby Willoughby confirmed.
