Scanlan Theodore has confirmed it will open its first boutique beyond Melbourne's CBD.

The designer brand will join the likes of sass & bide, Oroton and Gorman in joining a new development east of the city.

Eastland will also host international brands Marimekko, Victoria's Secret and boutique brands such as Alpha 60 and Skin & Threads.

More than 40% of the brands opening in the redevelopment this spring are not currently available in Melbourne's east.

Scanlan Theodore GM Sener Besim said he was impressed by the design-focussed redevelopment concept.

“The overall vision of the project is exceptional and the sense of approaching it in a local context whilst it belonging comfortably anywhere in the world is really exciting.”

South African fashion retailer MRP will also launch its second Melbourne store front at Eastland.

MRP currently operates 440 stores, largely located in South Africa.

H&M and Uniqlo also recently confirmed their arrival in the new Eastland as part of its $665m transformation.

Stage one of the development will launch in late 2015, with stage two due for completion in mid 2016.
