Lorna Jane is stretching its muscles in the US.

The Australian activewear brand has entered into an agreement with retailer Nordstrom, that will see it stocked in its department stores across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.

The range will be stocked from mid April.

The partnership comes alongside Lorna Jane’s first store opening in Paris at department store Galeries LaFayette.

Founder Lorna Jane Clarkson is thrilled about taking the brand global.

“We have seen an abundance of international brands come to Australia recently and I am so proud to be able to take a 100 per cent Australian brand to the world and teach women in every corner of the globe about Active Living. Women around the world are finally realising health is their most important asset and I hope this partnership with Nordstrom and our expansion into France encourages more women to embrace Active Living and lead healthy and active lives.”

Nordstrom vice president and divisional merchandise manager, Kristin Frossmo, said that the continual growth of the brand is what prompted the parternship.

“We're always looking for the best the market has to offer. We felt Lorna Jane was a great fit for us, offering fun, colourful merchandise on a regular basis. It's functional and stylish, a combination that our customers love,”

Lorna Jane has been operating in Australia for 26 years in around 150 stores. It has 42 stores in the US and stockists in 54 countries including UK department store House of Fraser and Breuninger in Germany.
