Former Supre executive Catherine Taouk has been appointed to helm an ambitious fast-fashion brand and spearhead its expansion.

Women’s boutique retailer Princess Polly has welcomed Taouk as its new CEO as the brand looks to grow its footprint in Australia and internationally.

Taouk, who has previously worked as international brand manager at Supre, now also runs business consultancy THiNK Consulting Group and brings over 15 years of retail experience to the role.

Taouk has been recognised as an instrumental figure in the Supre brand transformation and will use her business acumen to both strengthen Princess Polly’s senior management team and manage the fast growth strategy of the vertical retailer.

As CEO, Taouk will also work closely with all teams to solidify strategy, manage new projects and monitor business data.

Princess Polly co-owner Wez Bryett said Taouk is the perfect fit to drive the brand's future direction.

“Catherine’s experience in vertical retailing is a perfect fit with our ambitions, providing both valuable in-put to both short and long term plans.

“We embrace her knowledge to drive those plans to bring the exciting opportunities for the company to fruition,” he said.

Princess Polly opened its first boutique in 2005 and now operates eight stores nationwide in addition to an online store, and employs 71 staff across the country.

The company also recently boosted its product offering with the launch of 'Polly' the label.
