Global athletic brand New Balance has opened its newest UCC format store in Melbourne’s Chadstone Shopping Centre today.
It is the second concept store of its kind in Australia, following an initial opening at Bondi Junction Westfield last year.
The concept was initially launched in Guangzhou, China in December 2022, followed by Boston, Massachusetts in February 2023. More recently, the concept was launched at Paragon Shopping Centre in Singapore.
The new Chadstone store adds to the brand’s four other full-price stores in Australia - including the new Bondi store - and 14 outlets.
To mark the Chadstone opening, the footwear retailer is relaunching its New Balance 1000 - an archival running style originally released in 1999.
The 1000 has been released in Australia in extremely limited numbers. The new Chadstone location will be the only New Balance store in Melbourne stocking the pair.
