Nasty Gal has teamed up with Aussie musician Tkay Maidza to celebrate International Women's Day.

The retailer will launch an Instagram series showcasing women talking about topics they're passionate about, with Maidza set to delve into women in music.

The partnership between the eTailer and Maidza follows the successful collaboration between Nasty Gal and fellow Aussie DJ Flex Mami, which delivered an uplift in the Curve category in the Australian region from approximately 4-5% to around 18%.

The upcoming Instagram series complements Nasty Gal's 30-piece International Women's Day (IWD) collection which features graphic tees, tanks and long-sleeves, peppered with punchy slogans and prints of legendary frontwomen including Diana Ross, Whitney Houston and Blondie.

Nasty Gal Group co-founder and executive director Carol Kane said that the business was founded with a culture of women supporting women.

"I believe that today's movement is about empowering ourselves and the women around us, instilling confidence in women of every age, and every stage of their careers, to bridge the gap between the sexes.

"For myself and the team at Nasty Gal it is all about women supporting women.

"Nasty Gal is a female-founded brand, and we will continue to use our platform to celebrate women that inspire us," she said.

The Nasty Gal IWD collection is available online now and retails for between $8.50 to $40.

IWD is celebrated on March 08.
