Australian activewear brand Muscle Nation has teamed up with Aboriginal artist Kaiden Powell to create a limited-edition t-shirt in celebration of NAIDOC Week.

Powell, an artist, motivational speaker, mentor and a proud Wiradjuri man, has created the artwork to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Speaking on his work, Powell said his work represents the strength of community.

"The artwork signifies people in the community coming together, united as one.

"Each dot represents each one of us individually, and how we play a role within the bigger picture and how our actions can help towards change," he said.

The piece has been transposed onto the shirt's logo and sleeves and comes in both a men's full tee and a women's cropped tee.

100% of sales of the t-shirt will distributed between several charities including NAIDOC and First Nations community organisations.

Muscle Nation's partnership with Powell came after meeting on a photoshoot in Byron Bay, Muscle Nation co-founder Nathaniel Anthony added.

"Life gives you signs, and Kaiden was a sign.

"We were in Byron for a photoshoot and we were looking at this fig tree that others were crowding around.

"That’s when Kaiden and his friends pulled up and we started talking, he told us about the significance of this majestic fig tree, and he told us about himself.

"All of us who were there and met him felt a connection with him and we felt our values were aligned.

"We also felt Kaiden’s voice is an important voice that needed to be heard and he was someone we wanted to work with," he said.

Muscle Nation has grown to be a heavy weight in the activewear and supplements space online, recording over $51 million in total revenue for FY20/21, up 89% on the previous year.

The business also reports it serves two million loyal customers.

The Muscle Nation x Kaiden Powell t-shirt is available now in men's and women's styles and retails for $39.99.
