Think fashion festivals are just about showcasing existing collections? Morrison says, think again.

Morrison will show an exclusive capsule collection at this year’s Telstra Perth Fashion Festival.

The brand will show alongside WA label One Fell Swoop and successful New Zealand brands Zambesi and NOM*d.

Morrison's collection is titled ‘3300 Miles Apart’ to represent the distance between Western Australia and New Zealand.

The show will take place on September 18 and and will also feature cutting edge silhouettes from each label’s SS14 collections.

3300 Miles Apart features flowing silk skirts, raw edges, ruffles, and asymmetrical hemlines, alongside culottes and cropped tops with soft pleating.

The colour palette is earthy, with natural tones of sand and terracotta dominant.

There is also an exclusive hand painted watercolour print inspired by by the coastal and desert surrounds of the brand’s Western Australian location.

Morrison designer Kylie Radford said it is a fantastic opportunity to present the new collection to their loyal WA clientele.

"We've developed an exclusive capsule collection especially for Perth Fashion Festival, that we will release for online pre-orders and delivery into stores in December.

"We feel the collection is at the core of Morrison's aesthetic, both extravagant in its attention to detail and fabric selection, yet down to earth."
