Online sales alone have topped 300 per cent over the past year - now Coles is getting serious about fashion.

The supermarket retailer has extended its Mix Apparel line to over 50 new stores.

This brings the total number of stockists to 132.

Since March, Coles has continued to release the line from Murwillumbah in Queensland to Australind in Western Australia.

Mix Apparel’s online growth also topped 300 per cent in the past 12 months.

The number of customers searching for Mix online also rose by 47per cent.

Coles business category manager apparel James Lavdas said venture has been a success.

“Australian’s appreciate great value and the Mix Apparel range gives them just that. Affordable fashion that is on trend, fantastic quality and easily accessible.

"We look forward to continuing to bring shoppers more clothing and accessories through the Mix range, both in-store and online over the coming seasons.”

The Mix range has also been significantly extended from its initial basics offer.

The recent denim campaign features Mix ambassadors Ashley Hart and Daniel McPherson, along with well-known bloggers They All Hate Us.

The ambassadorrs showcase a selection of fashion-forward and affordable denim items.

These include motto jackets, boyfriend jeans, chambray shirts and even jumpsuits.

Prices start from $4 in the baby range and from $6 in womenswear.
