New Zealand based footwear brand, Mi Piaci has unveiled a sustainable sneaker dubbed Miha.

The shoe is made from plastic bottle material Repreve.

To create the fibre, recycled plastic bottles are sorted, washed and chopped into flakes.

The clean flake is then melted and turned into recycled chips which enters an extrusion and texturing process to transform the chips into Repreve fibres.

Using this fibre, Mi Piaci has created the Miha sock-style sneaker, which comes in two colours; black and tan.

The Miha sneaker is available online now for $180.
