1. Knockout growth
Accent Group reported a record 170% digital growth for the half year up to December 31. As the figure continues to rise, the footwear giant is aiming to see 15% of total group sales take place online. It is leveraging its 445 store network to drive this growth with a true omnichannel strategy.
2. Trial and test
Accent Group continues to trial and test new customer-facing initiatives. These include click-and-collect, click-and-dispatch, endless aisle, three hour delivery and new payment options both online and in stores. "We have been planning this strategy for several years and believe we have the platforms to take our businesses to the next level of growth and continue to outperform others in our sector in both Australia and New Zealand."
3. Let's talk about that hub
Accent Group has unveiled a dedicated digital hub in Melbourne, a purpose-built facility that concentrates its digital expertise under one roof. The business model includes a dedicated resource space for each brand, as well as a shared services layer spanning digital marketing, project management, omnichannel managers and strategists. These shared services assist brands that may not be able to afford them, providing each with the best digital talent in the marketplace.
