Australian intimates brand Intimo has strengthened its partnership with charity organisation Uplift Project to provide 1000 Fijian women with bras.

Intimo took 68 of its bra fit specialists to Fiji to fit local women and offer them four free bras to take home.

The brand has been in partnership with the charity for five years.

Uplift Project founder Liz Baker has thanked Intimo for donating around 300,000 bras to women in the Pacific Islands.

"Intimo's unfailing support over the last decade has been absolutely central to Uplift's ability to serve the women of the pacific.

“Hundreds of thousands of women now have the common dignity of a bra thanks to Intimo's aid.”

Head of Uplift Fiji Naomi Roberts said that the project has significantly impacted the lives of Fijian women.

“The women from the local villages are still overwhelmed by the four bras they were gifted on the day.

“The whole community has been lifted as a result, where they can now enjoy the comfort and quality of a bra that fits them properly.

“Now these women can go to church together and enjoy the dignity of a beautiful bra, where before many families would take it in turns to attend church as they only had one bra between them.”

Intimo was launched in 1995 and operates as a direct selling organisation.
