Australian fashion brand Camilla transformed the recent Vogue Online Shopping Night Out (VOSN) event into a charity drive.

On May 24, during a key night of sales for Australian etailers, Camilla increased its donation program to three charity projects.

Camilla raised its current level of donations per transaction from $1 to $5, with proceeds processed via the i=Change platform.

The VOSN event generates the equivalent of three weeks’ worth of online revenue for Camilla.

The team estimated they could impact the lives of over 25,000 women with the funds donated during this short period.

Camilla is one of the founding retailers to join the i=Change movement.

Since launching on its site, the brand has raised nearly $20,000 for projects in Rwanda, Bangladesh and Australia.

Camilla founder Camilla Franks said this was an important venture.

“During a trip to India a few years ago, I witnessed first-hand how some women are mistreated and I now
understand that with every dollar, and a bit of guidance, education and support – we could help turn their lives around.

"My dream for Camilla is bigger than fashion.

It’s about a full vision that helps rehabilitate women and those in need by providing them with skills, education, purpose and a safe community."
