Department store Harris Scarfe has forged a partnership with Australian retailer David Lawrence to stock its apparel offering in store.

It follows the roll out of UK brand Debenhams into Harris Scarfe through a phased approach.

Harris Scarfe GM fashion Nicole Naccarella said that bringing the label on board through concession will aim to complement its rejuvenated apparel offering.

“I always could see that David Lawrence sort of complimenting what we've got in there from Debenhams from an Australian point of view and it's a similar sort of customer - it's a similar sort of target customer.”

Naccarella also said that the introduction has received immediate reaction from its customer base.

“I've known the brand forever and I think it's a good fit for us.

“I was in the store last week walking the floor when they were just opened and I could hear a lot of customers going, 'Oh! Harris Scarfe got David Lawrence now,' so that's actually been really good.”

Harris Scarfe is in the midst of overhauling its apparel section with half of its offering with exclusive collections from Debenhams.

As per its phased approach, the roll out will be executed in its top six stores across Australia during the initial stage.
