It was one of the first major international entrants into Australia, getting in before Zara and H&M. So how is GAP taking shape?

OrotonGroup has updated shareholders on the fast fashion brand, following its acquisition of the domestic license from Melbourne-based Busbrand last year.

Three GAP stores were integrated into the Group from November 2013, with changes to season relevant product in-store as well as global price harmonisation.

As first reported on ragtrader.com.au earlier this week, three new stores are planned at the Macquarie, Miranda and Parramatta centres.

OrotonGroup CEO Mark Newman said the brand has made significant progress.

"OrotonGroup took over the existing three Gap stores from the previous franchise partner in November last year and have since made huge progress in delivering a world class customer experience for our Gap fans here in Australia.

"Our strategy to reduce prices, flow season relevant product into the stores and investment in staff has proved successful, and we will continue to improve upon that with each new opening."
