T: The New York Times Style Magazine has launched a new, local publication, T Australia. 

Based on its flagship US counterpart, T Australia's digital and print channels will cover culture, fashion, food, wine, architecture, interiors, travel, craftsmanship and society, through a mix of local and international content. 

The launch follows the closure of some of Australia's leading fashion publications including Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and InStyle.  

At the helm of T Australia as publisher and editor-in-chief is Katarina Kroslakova. 

Kroslakova was a former Harper's Bazaar columnist, former editor of the Australian Financial Review’s Life & Leisure and Luxury magazines and is currently MD of content creation agency KK Ink and custom publishing house KK Press as well as editor of Maserati’s Il Tridente magazine. 

Speaking on what T Australia aims to achieve, Kroslakova said the magazine will bring global fashion and style experiences to Australians while travel is restricted. 

"We are in such a unique position with T Australia, in both its print and digital format. 

"In a time when we are unable to explore the world as fully as we’d like to, T Australia is able to bring the world to us.

"We have access to truly some of the world’s best writers and photographers, who bring our readers the most captivating stories from around the globe," she said. 

The T Australia digital platform will offer digital-only content, including recurring columns by specialist contributors, deep dives into magazine features including behind-the-scenes footage and photo shoot galleries, video content inside the T: TV
channel, and VIP access to live events and invitations. 

"Having such an immediate medium such as [the T Australia website] allows us to respond quickly to events, news, changes, and trends," Kroslakova added. 

T Australia will combine original regional content with coverage, photographs and commentary from the flagship edition of T: The New York Times Style Magazine.

T Australia's first print issue will launch on March 15 2021, while its digital channel launched on February 01.
