Ex-Apple global creative director Sam Davy is on a funding campaign for a clothing venture.

Founded in Australia, Park is pitched as an ethical soccer lifestyle brand.

After experiencing 150 expressions of interest in the EOI stage, the brand's equity crowd-sourced funding campaign is now open on Birchal.

Would-be investors can purchase a stake in Park from $50 up to a maximum of $100k, with the average investment at around $2400-$4800.

The funding campaign will run for four weeks and has already attracted $175,00 in investment.

The campaign follows the introduction of crowd-sourced funding legislation in September 2017, as well ASIC’s granting of Australian Financial Services licences to seven platforms in January 2018.

Park has chosen to conduct its listing with Birchal, sister platform to established crowdfunding site Pozible.

It is seeking to raise a maximum of $750k, which will enable it to expand the Pass-A-Ball Project, launch an apparel and accessories range, grow online sales in Australia, the United States and Europe, and expand its independent retail network.

Davy said the strong interest reflected in the EOI stage demonstrated the brand's consumer appeal.

“Park is the right brand - at the right time, in the right place - to be the leading, for profit, for purpose sport brand for the next generation.

"For us, the crowd-sourced funding is the beginning of an exciting new phase for the business, and the strong interest we’ve seen through the EOI stage demonstrates it’s now time to engage with our tribe and gather the needed resources to expand the reach and impact of the brand.”

Founded in 2015 by Davy and ex-Crumpler executive Tara Montoneri, Park is pitched as a social enterprise aiming to help disadvantaged kids.

Every Park product purchased helps kids in need.

Alongside the launch of the funding round, Park was recently selected by Red Bull as the Official Match Ball of soccer legend Neymar Jr’s ‘Five’ finals, a five-a-side football series in Miami on June 8.

Some 160 players will compete to be the USA champions and to represent the country in the world five-a-side football finals in Brazil in July.

For every player in the finals, Red Bull will pass a ball to a child in need.
