Forever 21 will join Gap, Zara, H&M and Uniqlo in a record-breaking opening.

Macquarie Centre has revealed Forever 21 as the fifth international high street store to take residency at the centre.

This will be the American fashion brand's first Sydney store and will open in December.

Forever 21 will join Gap, H&M, UNIQLO and Zara in opening at the centre this year.

Macquarie Centre will be home to the most large format international high street fashion brands of any Australian shopping centre.

Macquarie Centre senior marketing manager Yael Bradbury said it will be a destination for Sydney-siders.

"In addition to H&M and UNIQLO, Forever 21 has also selected Macquarie Centre to be its first Sydney location.

"Over the past thirty years, the brand has amassed a cult following abroad and we are thrilled to be the first to bring its fashion offering to Sydney-siders."

Macquarie Centre’s $440 million transformation will be unveiled on 16 October 2014.

These brands will form part of a two-floor fashion galleria featuring a total of 100 specialty fashion and beauty stores.

Australian designer brands to join the centre include Scanlan Theodore, Zimmermann, Alice McCall, Gorman, Willow and Sass & Bide.
