Australian Fashion Laureate winner A.BCH is trialling a new circular packaging option to complement its circular fashion design ethos.
The brand is trialling SWOP (sustainable way of packaging) packaging, which is returnable, reusable and recyclable, for its eCommerce orders.
Announcing the news on its Instagram account, A.BCH said that it is excited to get the pilot underway.
"We’re thrilled to finally have a reusable option - we can only hope that one day this is the packaging norm.
"At the end of the pilot, based on feedback we may make changes or updates," the label posted.
The SWOP packaging will cost customers an extra $10 in shipping, "to offset the cost of return shipping, the higher price of the packaging and the risk should we not get it back," A.BCH said.
However, upon receipting the returned packaging, A.BCH will give back the extra shipping cost to customers in the form of store credit.
