Global denim brand Diesel has opened its doors to a new Australian store in The Strand Arcade, Sydney.
The space has been designed by Russell & George and features a concreate sarcophagus clad in glass and gold leaf in a bid to position the store as a denim temple.
Diesel's Australian distributor Mandana Holdings has facilitated the launch of the new store, with the company's MD Sanjay Jain believing the brand offers a unique proposition in the market.
“Diesel is the alternative luxury brand with its heritage rooted in the world’s finest denim.
“We were looking at how we could express and celebrate this most vividly.
“We asked innovative local designers Russell and George to be bold and brave.
“The inspirational denim temple was born.
“This store represents an ongoing investment by the Australian distributor, Mandana, as it continues to expand Diesel as one of the world’s most cutting edge premium denim brands.”
Diesel operates six stores across Sydney and Melbourne.
