The Australian Fashion Council (AFC) is calling on businesses with turnover of over $50 million.

As reported on ragtrader.com.au, the AFC is compiling an industry-wide survey to submit to the Federal Government.

The data will be used to develop policies which assist the industry, as it battles the COVID-19 crisis.

AFC CEO Leila Naja Hibri said now is the time for big businesses to step forward.

“The response from the leaders of the fashion industry, in particular small to medium sized businesses, has been phenomenal.

"We received over 50 responses within hours of the survey being released which is pretty incredible considering how busy and under pressure everyone is at the moment.

"We need more participation from the bigger players though.

"Government will listen to us more attentively as an industry if the data represents a wide spectrum of businesses, in particular those that have a turnover of over $50 million.

"If you’re yet to take part in this survey, please do so. Now, more than ever, we need to unite and ensure the voices of our sector are heard.

"The survival of our industry depends on it.”
