Australian womenswear designer Leroy Nguyen has partnered with an international icon for a capsule range.

The rising star has teamed with Hello Kitty via Haven Licensing and Sanrio.

The collection features five-pieces including sweat tops, dresses and separates.

Haven Licensing director Tom Punch said praised Nguyen's take on the character.

“Leroy Nguyen has brought a truly unique and original look to the Hello Kitty brand,” he said.

“It’s so far from what we have seen done with this character in the past, and the collection sends a message to the global stage about both brands, as well about Australia’s emerging designers and what they are capable of.”

Statement pieces include a monochromatic shift dress with a Kitty monogram; a geometric spliced kimono and; and an exclusive Hello Kitty print sweat top featuring mesh panelling.

The Hello Kitty x LEROY NGUYEN collection will be available from November, exclusively via the Leroy Nguyen online boutique at www.leroynguyen.com.
