Australian start-up outdoor label Zorali is set to expand overseas, following strong growth in the past 12 months.
The label, which has been built on the support of more than 500 crowdfunding investors, has seen significant revenue growth over the past year, recording a 618% increase in revenue.
Despite launching the brand before COVID-19 hit and everyone was forced inside, Zorali was still able to connect to 17,500 customers across 27 countries.
Further, these customers purchased 40,225 products during the launch phase, amounting to over $3.2 million in sales.
Co-founder Cam Greenwood said despite the challenges of the pandemic, it is clear customers were excited to get outdoors.
"When Elise and I started Zorali, we knew we were embarking on a bold adventure, and we’d be lying if we said we ever saw a global pandemic coming.
"But if these two years have taught us anything, it’s that the call of the great outdoors is ringing louder, stronger and more persistently than ever before," he said.
On the back of its early success, Zorali has launched another crowdfunding campaign to expand its product range, reach new markets and capitalise on its increasing demand.
And as the business grows, so too does its environmental impact.
For every product purchased, Zorali plants 10 trees in areas of severe deforestation.
So far, Zorali has been responsible for the planting of over 480,000 trees, offsetting upwards of 182,800 tonnes of CO2 and providing 48,224 days of employment.
Zorali's next crowdfunding campaign officially opens on March 16, with expressions of interest open now.
