New Australian outdoor brand Zorali has officially launched off the back of its crowd-funding campaign, which saw 575 fans invest in the brand to get it off the ground.
Raising the $300,000 required to get the business moving, the brand officially launched on August 18 with its inugural range of outdoor gear and apparel.
As part of the founder's – Cam and Elise Greenwood's – commitment to reducing the brand's environmental footprint, for each product sold Zorali will plant 10 trees in partnership with Eden Projects.
The trees will be planted in areas affected by deforestation which will go towards revitalising and re-establishing ecosystems and local communities. The trees will be planted by local workers to provide them with employment.
Alongside the partnership with Eden Projects, wherever possible, Zorali products will be made using organic and eco-synthetic materials including hemp and organic cotton.
Zorali co-founder Cam Greenwood said that the aim for the business is to get Australians outdoors.
"As our nation continues to grow, and our world becomes increasingly noise filled and busy, Australians are so primed to connect with nature.
"We believe, our role is simply to get people outside and having a good time. If we can do this, nature will take over - renewing the human spirit in the wonder and beauty of the wild.
"This is the purpose behind the outdoor gear and apparel we create and the community we are gathering. Because we believe that by reconnecting with nature, we also rediscover a part of our humanity," he said.
The Zorali range includes everyday apparel, down and waterproof jackets, camping accessories, including a camp offee drip and teapot, a pack and carry fireplace, insulated sleeping mat and travel pillow, sleeping bags, backpacks and more.
