Following its expansion into New Zealand, Glue is on track to have a minimum of 34 stores open by the end of 2022.

Glue head of brand, marketing and eCommerce Charles Moore said this is up from the 27 locations currently in operation.

“We are always looking for new locations to expand our footprint and bring our House of Brands Concept to more locations throughout Australia," he confirmed.

“We set out with plans to open an additional 50 stores, with a target of 75 total stores by FY26."

The move follows expansion into new territories, including South Australia and New Zealand.

“Our first ever store in South Australia is a key milestone in this strategy as we hit 25 stores and we will continue to look at further expansion in both Australia and New Zealand," Moore said.

“Right now, we have a strong focus on our growth in Australia and New Zealand.

Glue, operated by retail giant Accent Group, made the cross-border move after similar success for sister brands.

“We have always wanted to establish Glue in New Zealand. We have seen how successful the other Accent retail brands have been there, which gave us the push to plan the expansion," Moore explained.

“With an exclusive brand assortment within our category from the likes of Polo Ralph Lauren, P.E Nation, Nude Lucy and Article One, combined with an elevated and world class retail experience, the expansion into new areas is as exciting for our new customers as it is for us."

Moore said expansion into new areas is also driving online revenue.

“The physical expansions have only increased traffic to our online store, as we branch into areas of Australia that we previously didn’t have a footprint in.

“We have found that exposure from these stores has aided in additional traffic online.

“We are seeing strong sales across our streetwear brands (Nude Lucy, P.E Nation, Champion), backed up by our accessories lines which are equally performing.”
