Australian designer brand Aje is set to open a new flagship store at Westfield Bondi Junction on July 02.

The new store follows the brand's revamp of its website and the opening of its second New Zealand store at Commercial Bay in June.

The Bondi Junction store will be located in the Australian designer hub on level three of the shopping centre and will be Aje's 19th store.

Aje CEO and co-founder Adrian Norris said that the opening of the store helps the business return to its plan pre-COVID.

"As destination retailers we are continuously embracing new locations to optimise and complement our existing portfolio of retail environments, and we consider Westfield Bondi Junction to be a premium asset.

"Bondi was on our radar as part of our 12-month plan, and while we have locations in Sydney’s Paddington and The Strand – we have been waiting on the right position within the East for some time. It’s now one of our favourite stores," he said.

Scentre Group director leasing and retail solutions John Papagiannis said that the Aje Bondi Junction store will be the sixth within the Westfield portfolio.

"We are thrilled to be welcoming Aje to Westfield Bondi Junction and we know our customers will be too.

"As an iconic local Australian fashion brand, Aje is the perfect addition to our bespoke mix of high-quality, sought-after brands and experiences at the centre.

"This will mark the sixth Aje store within our Westfield portfolio across Australia and New Zealand, demonstrating the strength of our partnership.

"We look forward to working alongside the team at Aje as they continue to grow their store network," he said.

Aje creative director and co-founder Edwina Forest added that the store aligns with the brand's release of its pre-fall collection.

"For Bondi Junction we created an immersive, quiet and refined space that feels memorable.

"The new location will launch with long-awaited pre-fall 2020 styles including our tweed suiting, abstract lace styles and must-have winter outerwear," she said.
