H&M Australia is continuing to pursue the launch of eCommerce operations this year.
In January, the Swedish giant announced a localised site would launch in the second half.
Now, a series of job advertisements have offered an insight into how the platform will trade.
H&M is currently recruiting for an eCommerce merchandiser, communications planner, visual merchandiser, business controller, visual merchandiser.
In its advertisements, H&M makes it clear the site will offer market-specific activities and feature locally relevant content.
The move comes at a time when many global retailers, which also trade in Australia, are closing stores across the world.
This week, H&M has announced the closure of all UK stores for two weeks.
It also confirmed it would shut all 460 stores in Germany, 590 stores in the U.S. as well as shops in Canada, Portugal and Belgium.
Germany is the company’s largest market, followed by the U.S. and the U.K.
Inditex, owner of Zara, has also temporarily shuttered almost 3800 stores in 39 markets including all stores on its home soil.
Retail earnings for the Group fell 24.1% in the first fortnight of March, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Fast Retailing Co, owner of Uniqlo, has shut 100 stores worlwide including sites in the US, China and Europe.
