Shopping centre giant Westfield will launch one of its largest initiatives to date later this week, in a bid to spur consumer sentiment.
The Westfield Sydney Shopping Event, which will launch this Thursday [March 29], will include four days of designer pop-ups, celebrity appearances, DJs and bars with various activations set to occur on every level of the complex.
Event organisers, Baker Brand Image & Public Relations, also revealed that several fashion magazines, such as Cleo, Harper's Bazaar and Grazia will also contribute to the event.
The Cleo team will be at the Cleo photo booth on level one on Thursday between 5pm-9pm, along with sporting celebrities such as including pro-surfer Owen Wright and Jack Freestone, TV presenter and professional skateboarder Corbin Harris, and NRL star David “Wolfman” Williams. All photos will be loaded to the Westfield Sydney Facebook page.
Madison stylists have also styled the key looks for this autumn/winter which will be on display on level two over the four days, while the Grazia team have styled the looks off the runway to feature on mannequins on level four. Shoppers will also have the opportunity to be styled by the Grazia team on Sunday at the Cara & Co pop-up store.
In addition, the Victoria Room and Harper's Bazaar have joined to create a pop-up bar from Thursday through to Sunday, with Harper's Bazaar editor Edwina McCann and stylist Pip Brophy to go through the looks of the season on Thursday evening from 6pm.
DJ Daimon Downey of Sneaky Sound System fame, Wanted Shoes and UK-based label Ted Baker's resident DJ will also provide music over the four days days across different levels, with Yellowglen, Galliano, Cloudy Bay Fish Co, Quarter21, Farmgate Market, and Zokoko Chocolate to provide snacks and refreshments for shoppers throughout the event.
