Volley Australia has launched its new Pride collection, with Aussie musician G-Flip (Georgia Flipo) fronting the campaign.

This year is Volley's fourth consecutive 'Wear It With Pride' campaign, which sees $5 from each purchase from the Pride collection donated to Wear It Purple, a charity which supports adolescents in the LGBTQIA+ community.

In 2020, Volley raised more than $20,000 for Wear It Purple and reached more than one million people with its Pride campaign.

2021 has seen Volley expand its allyship, introducing the Trans flag into the collection for the first time, marketing manager Sam Despotidis said.

"This year is all about pushing the limits of what it means to be an ally in both representing the diverse rainbow community, and also the continuous support for our charity partner Wear It Purple.

"Our Pride 2021 collection is the most colourful one yet, celebrating inclusivity and diversity across our Pride members.

"A special spotlight has been placed on our friends in the Trans community with the addition of a Trans-Flag Shoe and Sock," he said.

G-Flip joins a collective of LGBTQIA+ creatives involved in the campaign including former Cosmopolitan Magazine editor and popular stylist, Deni Todorovic plus TikTok star Samantha Andrew and Cody McDonnell, musician Lakyn Tarai and their partner Emma White, model Ange Yu and Andy Kelly of podcast ‘Radical Fashionism.'

G-Flip said that she has fond memories of the Volley brand in her childhood and is thrilled to see the brand putting Pride front and centre.

"Volleys were the first shoes I remember growing up," she said.

"Everyone had Volleys at primary school, I have fond memories of playing four square and basketball in my international pink lows.

"Now it’s 2021 and Volleys are making these awesome pride sneakers so anyone, no matter who you are, where you’re from, what you do, who you love, your gender identity, you can rep your pride loudly on your feet, which in my opinion is pretty cool from one of Australia’s oldest sneaker brands," she said.

The Volley 2021 Pride collection is comprised of four sneaker styles in high and low styles, three styles of socks and a Volley logo Pride tee.

The range retails for between $14.99 to $139.99 and is available on the Volley website from today January 19.
