Australian sports lifestyle brand First Base has picked up a slew of international retailers, as it plans expansion across the US.
Urban Outfitters, Revolve, Nasty Girl and Asos are among new stockists, taking its door count to over 100 stores.
First Base reported a turnover of $1.5 million in fiscal 2015 and has new launches planned for 2016/17.
Founder and designer Ali Cotton said demand for local brands is strong.
"Australians brands are making a big impact on the USA market - the Aussie lifestyle is appealing, especially the Bondi beach aspect.”
Now in its third year, First Base will launch a swimwear collection in November at the Perth Telstra Fashion Festival.
“We are focusing on becoming a more ethical and sustainable brand as we expand our range," Cotton said.
"We will be introducing more recycled fabrics and ethical and sustainable practices to our brand."
This followed the launch of the First Base Fit range in August 2015, where all of performance Lycra pieces are made from 80% recycled fabric.
Cotton said the brand is regularly featured on digital influencers.
"Social media has been a big part in creating awareness among health and active conscious women around the globe.
"People who wear our brand are influential around the world and this definitely helps build a global presence."
