Sydney online fashion brand, Fortunate One, has partnered with Australian, environmental not-for-profit organisation, Clear Tides, to raise funds for ocean and marine conservation.
The brands have collaborated on two t-shirts, of which $5 from every sale will be donated to the Clear Tides cause. The tees, which have been specially designed by Australian artist, Myra Shimada, feature the Fortunate One girl blending in with the ocean and its wildlife, communicating that human beings should treat the ocean as an extension of themselves.
Fortunate One operations manager, Anya Stoliar, said that work that Clear Tides is doing is something that is very important to the Fortunate One team.
"We’re proud to be working with Clear Tides to support the protection and conservation of our oceans.
"This is a charity that is close to our hearts and we’re excited to share it with our environmentally conscious customers."
Bringing further awareness to the cause, Australian model and strong advocate of environmental causes, Dominique Faludi, is supporting the collection and collaboration.
Founder of Clear Tides Organisation, Jessica Brading, said that she hopes the collection will inspire consumers to take a stand on protecting the ocean's ecosystem.
"We are so excited to work together with Fortunate One to produce a range that spreads a message of love and support of our oceans.
"Through this collaboration we hope that we can encourage everyone to take a stand for our oceans and inspire everyone to make a change to protect the future of this very fragile ecosystem.
"Our oceans are so special, therefore it is so important for us to educate people on the problems faced and help them spread a message of awareness and conservation, and we hope that this collaboration will inspire more people to be a voice for our ocean."
Both textured cotton/polyester t-shirts are available now and retail worldwide for $39.95 on the Fortunate One website.
