Activewear brand The Upside has partnered with R U OK? to launch a unisex tank top.
The suicide prevention charity will host a gala breakfast in partnership with The Upside to launch the garment.
The gala breakfast event, staged at Bondi Icebergs Club, will see around 50 celebrity ambassadors and models in attendance.
Supporters from both organisations will model the tank for a photo with Bondi’s iconic ocean pool as a backdrop.
The image will be used to promote the tank in retail outlets, including The Upside, online fashion retailer The Iconic and R U OK?s website.
Ambassadors at the launch will include The Living Room’s Barry Du Bois, Dr Chris Brown, Miguel Maestre, The Loop’s Olivia Phyland, health and fitness guru Caroline Groth, Bondi Rescue’s Bruce ‘Hoppo’ Hopkins, actress Caitlyn Paterson, country music legend Travis Collins and Sydney Swans co-captain Jarred McVeigh.
The Upside founder Jodhi Meares said her team were honoured to be asked to support the suicide prevention initiative, R U OK?
“When we first started working on our own Be You campaigns, our team realised many people struggle with personal battles and stopping to ask this simple question, R U OK?, could be enormously effective.
“We have designed a unisex tank as part of our new spring collection that will be available in our stores, online and also via The Iconic from June 27, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to R U OK?”
R U OK? x THE UPSIDE unisex tanks RRP $49.95 available at ruok.org.au, theupsidesport.com and theiconic.com.au
