Shopping precinct the Strand Arcade has joined forces with globally focused foundation, Artisans of Fashion, for its latest spring/summer campaign.
The spring/summer 2012/13 campaign, ‘The Art of Authenticity', has been created in partnership with Artisans of Fashion, to promote the craftsmanship that goes into many of today’s luxury brands.
In addition, the initiative will also serve build long term and sustainable growth opportunities for the next generation of textile artisans in India, whose skilled locals provide many of the techniques and crafts used by the arcade’s designers, such as Anaessia and Manning Cartell.
‘The Art of Authenticity' will aim to display the qualities which define luxury brands – superior quality, craftsmanship and design – and “take the shopper direct to the source to showcase the interesting relationships, processes and skill sets behind what’s in their shopping bag”.
The spring/summer 2012/13 collections of many of the Strand Arcade’s designers have also been photographed on location in Jaipur, India at the Neemrana Fort-Palace to showcase the link between the country and the arcade's retailers.
The photo campaign will be revealed on Wednesday, August 15 at the Strand Arcade’s ‘An Evening With Our Designers’ event. While embracing the format for the annual shopping night that the Strand Arcade has pioneered over the past several years, the night will also launch Artisans of Fashion.
