Assembly Label is set to donate 100% of proceeds from a limited-edition range to the Australian Curing Homesickness campaign.

The campaign raises money for children's hospitals and paediatric services to bring them together to provide the best care for children in hospital so that the amount of time they're away from home is reduced.

Assembly Label has created limited-edition cotton tee which features a subtle pink 'Homesick' print to support the campaign. Each tee features a ribbed neck-line and a straight hem and is available in adult and kids sizes.

Assembly Label co-founder Damien Horan said the Curing Homesickness campaign hit home with the Assembly Label team.

"The Curing Homesickness mission is something that really resonates with our brand, our team and our customers.

"Many of us have young families ourselves and can really empathise with the distress felt by kids and their families while in hospital.

"As a brand, we’re always looking to play a more active role in our community and feel humbled to be able to support such a worthy cause," he said.

Fronting the campaign for Assembly Label is Australian IMG model and actress Gemma Ward who was shot by Australian fashion photographer Georges Antoni, both of which donated their time to support the cause.

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, each year children account for one million admissions to hospital in Australia and homesickness and the distress caused by this can have severe impacts on their wellbeing.

Homesickness in children can lead to social and behavioural problems, anxiety and coping issues and feelings of helplessness. The longer children are away from their home, the worse the symptoms become.

The Assembly Label Curing Homesickness tee is available now online and in stores and retails for $40 for adults and $30 for kids, with 100% of the funds going towards the campaign.
