Adaptive fashion eTailer EveryHuman founder Matthew Skerritt discusses the business' partnership with Tommy Hilfiger.
How did the partnership with Tommy Hilfiger come about?
Since launching EveryHuman, it has been my goal to partner with Tommy Hilfiger - the leading adaptive fashion brand around the globe.
I believe that we share a mission to bring modern, functional fashion to adults and children who are living with disabilities.
Since day one, I have wanted to break the stigmas often associated with how adaptive fashion looks and Tommy Hilfiger has done just that.
Put simply, it came about after many many phone calls.
By utilising our contacts within the industry, we were able to get an introduction to both the US and Australian PVH Tommy
Hilfiger teams.
As the adaptive experts in Australia and New Zealand, I believe there is and will continue to be great synergies between a global brand partnering with an Australian start-up to provide the disability community with iconic and timeless fashions.
How does having a brand like Tommy Hilfiger on the site impact the EveryHuman business?
There is no doubt our partnership with a brand like Tommy Hilfiger brings profile to the EveryHuman platform.
Not only that, but it also brings visibility to the local adaptive fashion brands that we have already partnered with and who are paving the way here in Australia.
It has also diversified our offering - as consumers are wearing more lifestyle focused fashion, the Tommy Hilfiger range has filled a gap fashion forward casual attire.
What has the response been to the range so far?
Absolutely fantastic! We have had a significant amount of engagement from our customers since releasing the news of the launch.
The reality is, people who may need to wear adaptive fashion, want to wear something that looks no different to a regular piece of clothing and that is exactly what Tommy Hilfiger has created.
It is just absolutely fantastic to see brands that people affiliate with outside of the adaptive fashion space, moving to become more inclusive to people with disabilities.
What are the trending items?
It is probably too soon to call anything a trend, however the products that have done well so far are those where Tommy Hilfiger branding is prominent.
