Boutique trade show Premiere has boosted its program schedule to include business seminars for the first time and has secured a raft of industry experts to present at the debut event.
The biannual trade fair, organised by Australian Exhibitions & Conferences (AEC), will run from March 11 to March 13 and launched in Sydney last year. The event showcases selected collections of local and international brands offering exclusive higher end fashion.
This year, visitors to Premiere will also benefit from a range of free business-focused seminars to be held over the three days, covering topics from increasing online exposure, to maximising sales and adapting to changing environments.
Speakers involved so far include, Wai Chim and Andy Jamieson, head of content and director of Switched on Media, coach Mark Davis, and Ragtrader editor Assia Benmedjdoub, who will interview Lorna Hall, senior retail analyst from UK-based trend forecasting firm WGSN.
AEC direct marketing manager fashion, Adeline Ho said the addition of business seminars to the Premiere program schedule will help provide fashion businesses with quick and useful tips on how to navigate the tough trading climate.
“The push behind creating these business seminars was to provide visitors to Premiere not only the opportunity to network and place orders but to also learn and takeaway key business strategies particularly in this tough climate,” she said.
“The seminars will cover topics and provide business ideas that are very relevant to retailers today, such as what to consider when taking their retail store online and digital strategies, pricing strategies, and understanding the customer.”
