P.E Nation has opened the doors to its new flagship store in Sydney.
Located within The Galeries in George Street, the 200 square metre space is the designer activewear brand’s first standalone boutique.
Conceived as a gallery-like space, the store showcases the entire P.E Nation range, bringing both the women’s and men’s collections together for the first time.
The atrium space in the store will also hero P.E Nation's elevated fashion collection EDIT each month, ahead of its limited global release.
Co-founders Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning said the store brings together signature elements of the P.E Nation brand.
“We were inspired by the concept of bringing together everything that the brand stands for. Fashion, energy, dynamism, excitement…integrating this all into the one space.
"We wanted to create a place to inspire and energise people; a space where they can feel the brand and see its energy”.
The pair worked with a number of collaborators on the space, from architect Kelvin Ho of Akin Atelier to a unique light installation by Trish Campbell, artwork by Clementine Maconachie and bespoke furniture designed by Dowel Jones.
“This store is of course a place to house all of the collections, but it’s much more than that," Edwards and Tregoning said.
"It’s a chance to create our own Nation, together with the people who share our vision. And to share, in turn, that world with our customers to touch, feel and see the brand the way it was always intended.”
The store features sandstone finishes mixed with concrete and muted contemporary tonal finishes, alongside recyclable uncoated stainless steel for rails, racks and stairs.
The building, which can be adapted to a gallery or pilates studio, also features low embodied-carbon clay render as the primary wall finish.
