Sydney's Wayside Chapel Op Shop has launched an online store to allow customers to shop high-end fashion pieces from their homes.

Wayside has also welcomed stylist, actor, model and sustainability advocate Christian Wilkins as its new ambassador to support the launch of the online store.

"It's a fantastic opportunity now for fashion lovers all over Australia to be able to shop one of the most iconic and eclectic op shops in the country, knowing that every dollar they spend goes back to the charity's important programs and services to support the community," Wilkins said.

Through community fundraising and donations, Wayside Chapel has been able to provide support and assistance for people on and around the streets of Sydney since 1964.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic it has continued to provide care and assistance to an average of 226 people per day through its essential services and programs, with 17, 210 instances of support delivered to people experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental health issues and social isolation in a three-month period from April to June 2020.

The digital store carries piece from designers including Veronika Maine, Zimmermann, Bec & Bridge and Scanlan Theodore.

Designers, brands and individuals are invited to donate pre-loved, vintage or samples of fashion and accessories that would be suitable to be sold in the Wayside Online Op Shop.
