Mirvac Retail has collaborated with The Smith Family to launch Share My Shoes.

The campaign will raise funds for the charity's Learning for Life program, which provides educational support to disadvantaged young Australians.

Mirvac Retail is the latest centre to unveil a community focused initiative.

Giant shoeboxes will act as donation drop off points all Mirvac shopping centres until July 31.

Every pair of shoes donated to be re-sold through The Smith Family’s retail stores.

In addition to the giant replica shoeboxes, Mirvac Retail will launch a nationwide social media campaign donating $1 to The Smith Family for every shoe picture posted on Facebook and Instagram alongside the hashtag #sharemyshoes.

A series of creative floor murals displaying imaginative photo backdrops will be placed in the centres to encourage shoppers to snap and share.

Mirvac Retail’s national marketing manager Paul Pozzobon said the company is proud to be working with The Smith Family.

"Integrating a social media campaign was an important element for Mirvac, we wanted to raise national awareness and commit ourselves to more than shoe donations alone.

"It allows for a wider level of engagement, meaning those that may not be able to donate are still able to take part in Share My Shoes."

The Smith Family is Australia’s largest children’s education charity, helping disadvantaged young Australians succeed at school through its Learning for Life program.

All shoes donated are to be clean and laces tied together.
