Mimco has signed Charlee Fraser to front its Mistress Elemental campaign.

This is first major announcement under new MD Sarah Rovis, following the shock departure of long-serving head Cathryn Wills.

Mimco head of marketing Georgia Hack said Fraser was a natural choice for the brand.

"Charlee’s unique heritage as an Indigenous Australian combined with her signature new look and down to earth attitude made her the perfect muse for our new campaign.

"Travelling to the Flinders Rangers in South Australia for the shoot, Charlee was in her element both on and off set. It was evident that she felt at ‘ease’ back in the Australian wilderness after her fast-paced rise to international success."

Fraser has walked for the likes of Balenciaga, Céline, Chanel, Chloe, Dior, Givenchy, Kenzo, Lanvin, Marni, Missoni, Prada and Stella McCartney.

Mistress Elemental, the second seasonal release of 2016, is inspired by the elements of earth fire, air and water.

Iconic locations in South Australia, including the Flinders Ranges and the pink salt-scape of Lake Bumbunga, set the scene for for the campaign.

The creative was shot by leading Australian photographer Trevor King.

Young filmmaker Gracie Otto also arrived on set drom LA to direct and shoot a two-part series featuring Fraser.

The Season 2.16 collection launches in Mimco boutiques at online at mimco.com.au from this month.
