Four years on from its launch and online shopping club Ozsale.com.au has officially clocked up two million members.
The APAC Sale Group owned business sells apparel, accessories, beauty and homewares at up to 80 per cent off online. To browse and buy, consumers must first become Ozsale members.
APAC Sale Group CEO Carl Jackson said consumer interest in such membership-based online shopping showed no signs of slowing down.
“We have more than two million members, over 5,500 members signing up each day and exponential sales growth which saw our revenue grow by more than 300 per cent for the last financial year,” Jackson said.
“Last month, the APAC Sale Group websites attracted more than 83 million page views and 2.27 million unique browsers. Ozsale.com.au alone received 1.55 million unique views.”
Capitalising on the growth, APAC Sale Group has recently expanded its shopping club model into Asia. The Group unveiled Mysale.my for Malaysia in April this year following its launch of Singsale.com.sg for Singapore in 2010.
“...[E]xpanding further into south-east Asia with Mysale.my was a natural fit for the business and adds value for our local suppliers by giving them access to an international sales and distribution network,” Jackson said.
“There are currently no shopping clubs dedicated to the region that can provide a localised offering whilst leveraging the scale of our multi-country member base to negotiate great deals with leading Australian and international brands.”
Ozsale has been operational since 2007 and currently sells over 600 Australian and international brands including Supre, New Balance, Zara, Bendon, Underwear of Sweden and Wayne Cooper.
The site hosts an average of ten different brand sales per day, with each sale lasting two to three days. The stock on offer is usually past season product that has not sold at full retail price.
Other businesses that operate in the fashion shopping club space include Brands Exclusive, Buy Invite and Cocolee.
