Melbourne Central plans to lure Christmas shoppers away from their online carts with an innovative display at its shopping complex.
The GPT Group subsidiary has launched a 'Destressmas' pop-up site on level two of its shopping precinct, aimed at easing the workload for CBD shoppers.
Visitors will receive facial spritzes, fresh apples and beverages, Crabtree and Evelyn hand massages and Kikki. K to-do lists.
The oversized cube will be in operation through to Christmas, with an interactive gift guide also provided on iPads and live access to the centre's Facebook page for special deals and offers.
The Make a Wish foundation will also operate a gift wrapping service at the centre's Dining Hall for a gold coin donation.
Melbourne Central centre manager Justin Shannon said the initiatives are aimed at creating a "relaxing zone" for busy shoppers.
Fashion stores at the centre include Calibre, cK Calvin Klein, YD, Peter Alexander, Country Road, Saba, Marcs and Esprit.
